For the course Design Tools, we created a foam cutter in a team of three industrial design students. It uses a hot wire to cut through the polystyrene. The rotation system makes it possible to cut out 27 different shapes. It can make cylinders, stars and squares which can be straight, conic or twisted. The machine is build by DIY techniques like laser cutting. The files are available online so anyone can make this machine.

Hyperboloid was a project in cooperation with Loes Verheyen and Fay De Haan.
